Moscow to discuss with Baku the fate of the peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh
Baku/30.09.23/Turan: The Kremlin said that the future fate of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Karabakh will be the subject of discussions with Baku, Interfax reported.
So the press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov answered the question whether Russian peacekeepers will continue to remain in the region.
When asked by journalists whether it is possible to put an end to the conflict between Baku and Yerevan and how relevant is the peace agreement between the two conflicting parties, the Kremlin representative replied: "This issue is certainly relevant. There are, of course, plans for the development of transport communications and logistics in the region. This is extremely important for Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. And we hope that this work will continue."
He clarified that "the talk is about a mission that is currently on the territory of Azerbaijan."
Earlier, Peskov repeatedly called the events in Karabakh an internal matter of Azerbaijan. ---06d---
