Musavat demanded to punish the perpetrators of violence against peaceful action in front of the CEC
Baku / 12.02.20 / Turan: The Musavat party demands from the authorities to call to account the police officers who committed reprisals against participants in the peaceful protest rally on the evening of February 11 in front of the CEC and covered this action by journalists.
The party’s statement said that violence by the police and other law enforcement agencies against candidates and members of the press was not justified. At the same time, many protesters and journalists suffered serious injuries and were subjected to insults and psychological pressure. -03D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
