NATO Secretary-General Calls for Reform of the Electoral System of Azerbaijan and Respect for Freedom of the Media
NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen called on Azerbaijani authorities to implement democratic reform. Responding to questions of the students of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) today, Rasmussen, in particular, encouraged the authorities to continue reforms in the field of elections and media freedom.
In his view, transformations in this area will benefit Azerbaijan and reforms need to be pursued.
However, he said that NATO will continue to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of energy security, cyber security, mine clearing, and training. -06D-
