Order for the 30th anniversary of January 20th
Baku / 13.12.19 / Turan: President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on holding mourning events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the tragic events of January 20.
According to the decree, the presidential administration was instructed to develop an action plan in the country and abroad.
* On January 20, 1990, Soviet troops occupied Baku, killing more than 130 civilians. The military operation involved more than 60 thousand troops, hundreds of units of armored vehicles and warships.
The occupation was aimed at saving the falling communist regime in Azerbaijan.-02D-
