President of Azerbaijan makes official visit to Ukraine
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will be on an official visit to Ukraine on November 17-18 at the invitation of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by Advisor to the President of Ukraine – Head of the Presidential Administration Main Office for International Affairs Andriy Goncharuk.
The parties are planning to discuss the enhancement of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani political dialogue at the highest level, broadening of bilateral cooperation in the top-priority spheres of interaction, implementation of joint projects in the sphere of energy and infrastructure as well as in military-technical sphere.
According to A. Goncharuk, the Fourth Session of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be an important element of the visit. This event is aimed at further saturation of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani strategic relations with concrete pragmatic sense. Following the session of the Council, the Final Protocol will be signed.
A series of bilateral documents will also be signed in the framework of the visit, particularly in foreign policy, agriculture, cultural-humanitarian and interregional spheres of interaction.
The agenda of the visit also provides for the meetings of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak. -0-
