Presidential Candidate Criticizes Election
Baku / 12.04.18 / Turan: A candidate for presidency, leader of the Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu criticized the April 11 presidential elections in the country, calling them "formal."
"In fact, Ilham Aliyev won, but I will not give it an estimate. The published figures are of a conjuncture character," he said.
Touching upon the programs of the participants of the presidential race, Jalaloglu said the results of the vote also reflect the number of supporters of not just the candidates, but their ideas.
"In particular, those who favor creation of a confederal state between Azerbaijan and Turkey voted for me," he said.
At the same time, he considers unreal the official figure about the number of votes cast for him (3.3%). In his opinion, a much larger number of people voted for him.
At the same time, he is convinced that many voters simply ignored the elections, because they do not believe the authorities and are apathetic.
Recall that according to official data, 86% of voters voted for Aliyev, the rest of candidates were cast: Zahid Oruj - 3.11%, Gudrat Hasanguliyev - 3.04%, Hafiz Hajiyev - 1.51%, Araz Alizadeh - 1.39%, Faraj Guliyev - 1.18 %, and Razi Nurullayev - 0.75%. -05D-
