Putin: Russia highly appreciates the support of the Russian language in Azerbaijan
Baku / 27.09.18 / Turan: Russia highly appreciates the support of the Russian language in Azerbaijan by the authorities and society of the republic, TASS reported that the Russian President Vladimir Putin said about it at the Ninth Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum. "We see and appreciate this highly - interest in the Russian language, and not only interest of the citizens of Azerbaijan to the Russian language, but also assistance from the state, municipalities, cities," he said, noting that the republic has more than 300 schools with teaching in Russian. At the same time, as Putin stressed, "the most important base (support of the Russian language) is in the hearts, in the minds of people."
In general, the Russian president emphasized, Russia and Azerbaijan attach great importance to the expansion of humanitarian cooperation. In particular, the number of scientific and student exchanges is growing, joint programs are being developed for the training of highly professional staff, etc. "We certainly intend to stimulate and encourage the contacts of our countries in education, culture and science," the Russian leader concluded.
Putin also drew attention to the development of bilateral contacts in the field of tourism. In particular, according to him, it is planned to jointly develop sea cruise travels across the Caspian. -06D--
