Rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee travel to Baku
The rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee - Tadeusz Iwinski and Pedro Agramunt will visit Azerbaijan in early March. According to sources in the Council of Europe, the speakers will conduct regular monitoring of the implementation of Azerbaijan's commitments to the Council of Europe. During the visit they will meet with government officials, members of parliament, civil society and the media. This will be the first visit of Tadeusz Iwinski to Azerbaijan; he was appointed a spokesperson for Azerbaijan at the recent PACE winter session instead Deborah Joseph Ghrekh. The term of office of the second speaker, Agramunt, will expire in the summer of 2015. -03D-

"We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
