Yerevan / 13.08.18 / Turan: On Monday, the Armenian Court of Appeal granted the complaint of the lawyers of ex-President Robert Kocharian and changed the measure of restraint for him - arrest.
The Armenian media reported, the Court of Appeal granted the complaint of the lawyers Robert Kocharyan and changed the measure of restraint in view of his "immunity". Before that, 45 deputies of the parliament made a petition to change the measure of restraint, but the prosecutor rejected their petition.
Kocharyan was brought to the investigation on charges of overthrowing the constitutional order on March 1-2, 2008. Then against the thousands of demonstrators protesting the army and the police used weapons, killing 10 people. -02D-
