Royal Institute invited to London the Karabakh separatist leader
Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, known as the British analytical center in the field of international relations, will hold on 8 July in London a debate on the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, regional security and relations between the various actors.
As an invited speaker, Bako Sahakyan, which Chatham House presents as "the president of the de facto Nagorno-Karabakh Republic". Although, as you know, Britain did not recognize the legitimacy of the presidential and parliamentary elections in Nagorno-Karabakh and declares territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
He will brief on the domestic political situation and share his views on regional security and relations among the different players involved. He will offer brief introductory remarks in Armenian, followed by an hour for questions and discussion. The event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
According to the program of the event, at the disposal of the agency Turan, Sahakyan will make a speech in the Armenian language, and then for an hour will answer questions. The event is held by the Program Chatham House “Russia and Eurasia.”
The purpose of these meetings is an opportunity to discuss important political trends and challenges. Research carried out by members of Chatham House are designed to generate new ideas and approaches for the leaders of the state's foreign policy. Developments by Chatham House also serve as a source of expert opinions for the press on international relations. -0-
