Russia donated 2 million francs to the Red Cross for projects in Karabakh
Moscow/25.12.20/Turan: Russia contributed 2 million Swiss francs to the budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to address the humanitarian consequences of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"In accordance with the decision of the Russian government, a voluntary contribution of 2 million Swiss francs was made to the ICRC budget to finance the costs associated with taking measures to resolve the humanitarian consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," it was reported.
Russia is undertaking large-scale efforts to assist the civilian population and restore the civilian infrastructure of the region, the report noted.-02D-

On December 10, the Ganja Serious Crimes Court issued a verdict in the case of Sahib Mammadzade, head of the Dashkasan district organization of the Azerbaijan People's Front Party (APFP). The court found him guilty of the large-scale illegal trafficking of narcotics and sentenced him to 6.5 years in prison, his lawyer, Zabil Gahramanov reported. According to the lawyer, an appeal will be filed against the verdict. He emphasized that the court did not establish a clear link between Mammadzade and the drugs in question.
