Saakashvili admits defeat of his party in elections
Tbilisi/02.10.12/Turan-BS PRESS: On October 2 the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, said in a special appeeal that the ruling party "United National Movement" goes to the opposition, and promised that he, as head of state, will help to elect a new chairman and form a new government.
As a result of the data processing in 30% polling stations, electoral bloc "Bidzina Ivanishvili - The Georgian Dream" won the parliamentary election by proportional 53.19% of the vote, according to the Central Election Commission of Georgia. The party "United National Movement" has received 41.51% of the votes.
"As a leader of the" National Movement " Ideclare that our party goes into opposition," Saakashvili said.
"We, as an opposition force, we will think about the future of the country, and we will fight for all that has been created in Georgia in recent years, in terms of its development, has been saved," he said.
