Baku / 17.02.20 / Turan: The organizers of the Sunday protest in front of the CEC building issued a resolution that put forward a number of basic requirements: to cancel the results of the February 9 early parliamentary elections; ensure fundamental freedoms, including freedom of expression and assembly; release political prisoners, as well as amend the Electoral Code in accordance with the proposals of the opposition, the Council of Europe, and the OSCE / ODIHR and implement the decisions of the ECHR on violations of the right to free elections.
After the implementation of these measures, new elections for the Milli Majlis should be held. —06D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
