Iranian authorities have once again recognized the military aid to the regime of Bashar al-Assad. Thus, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, General Mohammad Al Jaafari said the Lebanese web-site Naharnet, that military special forces Quds are in Syria and Lebanon. The General explained that the Iranian military presence in these countries as advisors.

On September 6, 2012, the British "Daily Telegraph" wrote about sending Iranian soldiers to Syria. Referring to Western intelligence, the publication reported that Tehran adopted the decision to provide such assistance to Damascus in July 2012, after the death of the Syrian defense minister by a suicide bomber. Iranian militarists arrived in the country by planes with hundreds of tons of military cargo: guns, rockets, equipment.
Information about the presence of the guards of the Islamic Revolution in Syria appeared before. Thus, in May 2012, Ismail Gaani, the deputy commander of the "Quds", told about the sending of military aid to Bashar Assad. According to him, before the arrival of Iranian troops, the Syrian opposition "killed too many people." However, before the speech of the Mohammed Ali Jafari, the leadership of the Revolutionary Guards did not officially acknowledge the presence of its troops in Syria. -02D-
