According to unofficial data, during the exile Mutalibov lived in Moscow.

In addition, for the hospitality ex-president set to 20% of the amount of wage the incumbent. In the case of the death of former head of state pension is transferred to the spouse of the deceased.
Previously Mutalibov was prosecuted in connection with events in January 1990, when Baku was invaded by the Soviet army, which led to numerous casualties, as well as attempts to organize a coup.
A year ago the Azerbaijani authorities allowed Mutalibov to come to Baku to attend the funeral of his son, Radio Liberty said. At the same time Mutalibov visited the grave of former president Heydar Aliyev and noted his contribution to the strengthening of Azerbaijani statehood, and in his personal political career.
In late June, 74-year-old Mutalibov resigned as co-chair of the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan and said that he was leaving politics.-0--
