The unexpected visit of Dmitry Rogozin to Baku
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin arrives in Azerbaijan for a two day visit today, a diplomatic source said. The agenda of the visit is not reported. It is expected that Rogozin will be received by President Ilham Aliyev.
In the Russian Government, Rogozin is in charge of military-industrial complex questions. It is possible that one of the topics discussed will be the extension of the agreement on the Gabala radar station.
Likely to be discussed are also other issues of bilateral relations, and the situation in the region and the world.
It should be noted that Ilham Aliyev and Dmitry Rogozin are well acquainted with each other from the activities of the PACE, where both led the national delegations of their countries. -06D-
