Top meeting of the GUAM representatives is planned
At he meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the two countries - Elmar Mammadyarov and Mikheil Janelidze was discussed wide range of the Azerbaijani-Georgian relations. After the meeting Mammadyarov in more detail discussed issues of cooperation in the field of transport. This year will be launched the railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which will give an additional impetus to the development of all three countries. In the first half of this year will take place a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. The Ministers reaffirmed their mutual support for the territorial integrity of the two countries, expressed support for the expansion of GUAM activities. According to Mammadyarov, the parties discussed the issues of strengthening the work in the framework of GUAM on development of economy and tourism. In the next 2-3 months is planned high-level meeting of the GUAM countries. Janelidze noted the presence of high-level dialogue between the two countries. In the past crisis year a bilateral trade decreased, but the parties agreed to intensify cooperation and maximum use of the existing potential. Georgian Minister pointed to the importance attached by the parties to energy and transport projects. "We intend to increase transit opportunities," said Janelidze stressing that BTK road will be put into operation this year. He also noted the need for the development of roads.-03B-
