Amendment to the information "Economic Court begins trial against the Institute Reporter Freedom and Safety"
On 26 June Turan Information Agency disseminated information "The Economic Court begins trial against the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety." The information contained wrong message that there will be a preparatory meeting on the lawsuit against the Ministry of Taxes against the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety. In fact, the hearing will take place on the basis of a claim of the IRFS.
In November 2014 the IRFS filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Taxes in connection with the unfounded claims on the tax debt. The Tax Ministry decided that IRFS has not paid the tax debt in the amount of 94,891 manat, and imposed on IRFS financial sanctions in the amount of 48,665 manat.
Next hearing will be held on 1 July in Baku Administrative-Economic Court №1.-0-

This year, 22,000 foreign language teachers and an additional 4,000 teachers who were unable to pass certification last year will be involved in the certification process, the director of the state agency for preschool and general education, Eshgi Bagirov, announced on February 12. According to him, of the 65,000 teachers involved in the certification, 55,000 passed successfully and received salary supplements. At the same time, employment contracts were terminated with 5,000 teachers who did not pass the certification.
