Arzu Agazamanova: Our Goal Is to Support Training of Women Leaders
Baku / 16.08.18 / Turan: More than 8 thousand women of Azerbaijan took advantage of the opportunities provided by the "WoWoman Azerbaijan" program, implemented for 3.5 years already. This was stated in the interview to the Azerbaijani service of the Voice of America by the executive director of the platform WoWoman Azerbaijan, Arzu Agazamanova.
WoWoman Azerbaijan, she explained, is a platform that creates space and opportunities for women to achieve their aspirations for their development.
"Our goal is to help prepare women leaders. We organize events for them. One of the biggest challenges for 2018 is the launch of an activity not only in Baku, but also in other regions of Azerbaijan, and in the global plan, an even larger platform," Agazamanova said.
According to her, for the formation of women leaders it is necessary to achieve their professional growth and personal development.
To this end, the platform holds events for women in the fields of information technology, digital marketing, design, sports, health, etc.
In addition, programs are being implemented to improve the skills and abilities of women in communication, presenting themselves and reaching out to the masses.
The platform WoWoman Azerbaijan has been operating for 3.5 years.
Over the past period, more than 250 events have been held, including courses, seminars, classes, etc.
Over 8 thousand women became their participants.
In addition, the platform has a closed page on Facebook, which has 25 thousand active participants.
With them, discussions are held daily on motivation, success, aspirations, career, travel, etc.
The WoWoman In Me project is supported by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The project's founder, Zara Huseynova, established the platform based on the knowledge acquired at the Harvard and Stanford universities.
So, she organized a five-week intensive program for Azerbaijani women to develop communication skills, team management, problem solving, etc.
Also, within the framework of trainings, women are trained to create projects, present them, and manage the team. -16D06-
