Azerbaijan seriously restricts smoking areas
Baku / 14.04.17 / Turan: Today the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan adopted in the first reading the bill "On Restriction of the Use of Tobacco Products". The document provides for the prohibition of smoking in health, scientific and educational institutions, museums, libraries, cinemas, theaters, circus buildings, exhibition and demonstration salons, sports arenas, concert halls, commercial, consumer and social services, stations, airports, bus stops, means for transportation of passengers and passenger taxis, lifts of multi-storey houses and common use rooms, playgrounds, beaches, etc.
During the discussions, MP Ilham Aliyev (son-in-law of the head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehdiyev) proposed to ban cigarette smoking in the lobby of the parliament.
According to him, the Administration of the President has been banned from smoking for over 10 years.-03D06-
