Clock Confusion Creates Problems in Azerbaijan
On October 30 Azerbaijan did not pass to winter time. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of 17 March, Azerbaijan does not apply daylight saving time, and therefore there is no transition to the winter time, the country's Ministry of Communications said.
However, this message was spread only in the afternoon on Sunday, but before that the population could not understand what was happening. For example, phones, gadgets and computers automatically reacted to the move of Western countries to winter time on the night of October 30. That is, the clock hands were automatically set one hour back.
Therefore, in the morning a number of Azerbaijani TV channels also began to show the "new time". No information about the right time came from anywhere.
Unpleasant times were experienced by those who flew from the airport and on the contrary, met guests on that day. Even if Azerbaijan is not switched to winter time, the international flights arrival time is stated as standard.
The Ministry of Communications caught on too late; it did not warn or remind citizens that in connection with the transition to winter time in the European countries, it is necessary to use the "automatic installation time" on the phones in the settings. -02B-

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
