Close Relatives of Nardaran Prisoners Appeal to Mehriban Aliyeva
Baku / 20.06.18 / Turan: "The situation of the injured during the Nardaran events and the lost moving ability of Abulfaz Bunyadov, whose trial continues, remains difficult. He is a lying patient and he needs constant care."
This is in the appeal to the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva of the relatives of those arrested during the Nardaran events. In the appeal it was noted that A. Bunyadov cannot satisfy even the minimum requirements.
"His relatives, his elderly mother, his wife and four young children living with him, cannot provide him with the necessary help. Bunyadov needs to be examined, supervised and treated, but policemen on duty at his house do not allow anyone, even doctors. All appeals to the relevant bodies remain unanswered, and the problem is not solved. This is the greatest injustice and tyranny against a person, a citizen of Azerbaijan, who is in such a grave condition."
The authors of the appeal note that such treatment of a paralyzed and bedridden man, who lost the ability to move, is a blot on the state and humanity.
Fearful of a punishment with the use of arrest, the authors of the appeal ask Mehriban Aliyeva to intervene in the matter, as well as to assist in the case of Bunyadov and the cessation of pressure on him.
The appeal was signed by 21 relatives of the people arrested during the Nardaran events.
Abulfaz Bunyadov is a member of the Board of the Muslim Unity Movement. He is accused of the death of policemen, illegal possession of weapons, attempted coup d'état and other serious crimes. He does not plead guilty and claims that the charges are falsified. -0-
