Conflict in the "gypsy quarter" of the region of Yevlakh
Baku / 19.05.20 / Turan: A group of residents of the “gypsy quarter” in the city of Yevlakh arranged a confrontation with the police. The conflict arose after residents refused to comply with tougher quarantine measures, local residents told Turan.
The reason for the tightening is the identification of 53 coronavirus infected among residents of this quarter. In total, over the past day, 80 patients with coronavirus have been recorded in the city. In this regard, quarantine measures have been tightened. However, this caused discontent among residents who staged a protest by throwing stones at the police.
Units of internal troops were introduced into the city. After the talks, some of the protesters parted, the doctors began to take tests from them. Until answers are received, quarantine restrictive measures will be maintained in this place, the Interior Ministry said. -02D-
