E Mammadyarov: Threats against Aylisli do not spoil the image of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, commented on the criticism of the representative of the U.S. State Department on the inadmissibility of threats of physical violence against the writer Akram Aylisli.
"I do not think this is a blow to the image of Azerbaijan. The country has obtained freedom of speech and thought," the minister told reporters.
Thus, Mammadyarov evaded commenting on scandalous statement of the head of the pro-government party "Modern Musavat", Hafiz Hajiyev, who announced a reward of 10,000 manat to those who will cut ear of Aylisli. -16D-
