Fourteen People Arrested in Connection with Illegal Production of Alcohol
Baku / 09.01.20 / Turan: Fourteen people were arrested in connection with the illegal production and sale of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan.
This was announced by the Attorney General of Azerbaijan Zakir Garalov on Thursday at a meeting in the department.
According to him, during the investigation conducted by the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office on the facts of poisoning citizens by alcoholic beverages and on suspicion of producing alcoholic drinks in an artisanal way, distributing them in a distribution network and catering facilities. Fourteen people were brought to criminal responsibility. They were charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and the court decisions against them chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
