Isa Habibbeyli will do no more for science than Ramiz Mehdiyev - Jamil Hasanly
Baku/25.10.22/ Turan: The election of Isa Habibbeyli as the new president of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan is not a good choice, says professor, a historian Jamil Hasanly.
“He was the vice-president of ANAS for a long time and if he knew how to do something, he would have done it during this time. Why does he occupy so many posts? He is a member of the Milli Majlis, director of the Institute of Literature, head of a department of ANAS. He will not do more at his new post than Ramiz Mehdiyev did (former head of the presidential administration, ex-president of ANAS), Hasanli said.
He also criticized structural reforms in ANAS. “Dividing the academy and transferring part of it to the Ministry of Education is fundamentally wrong. The ministry is not able to manage kindergartens and fundamental science at the same time.
“The academy should be allocated funds for the development of science. The obtained scientific achievements should be applied in production. That is, the formula finance = science = production should work. --03В06--

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
