"Karabakh tribune" condemns Russia's destructive role in the Karabakh conflict

Baku/15.10.22/Turan: The "position document of the Karabakh tribune civil initiative in connection with the anti-Azerbaijani activities of the Russian Federation "was distributed today.

It says:

On September 27, the Azerbaijani army launched a counter-offensive in response to Armenia's military provocations and to ensure the security of its citizens, as well as to end the 27-year occupation. The liberation of several territories in a short period of time delighted Azerbaijan's friends and disappointed its enemies.

By trying to stop the military operations of the Azerbaijani army based on international law, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, who have not been able to implement UN Security Council Resolutions 822, 853, 874, and 884 for 27 years to liberate Azerbaijani lands from occupation, give us the impression that the co-chairs are interested in the occupation of part of our country.

In particular, the active activity of the Russian Federation as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group against Azerbaijan's attempts to ensure its territorial integrity based on international law is noteworthy. In addition to the immediate armament of the occupying Armenia, all Russian-sponsored mass media outlets pursue a biased, defamatory, and provocative information policy against Azerbaijan.

As a result of Russia's military-technical support to Armenia, many of our civilians were killed. At the same time, there is a possibility that the Russian military contingent in Armenia was involved in the bombing of Ganja with a prohibited ballistic missile. We strongly condemn these notorious actions of Russia and call on Russia to stop arming Armenia.

Russia has already lost its political and moral legitimacy as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. Azerbaijani society considers Russia not as a mediator but as an open military ally of Armenia and a protector of the aggressor.

It is commendable that the Azerbaijani society is like one fist these days, which is vital for our country, and fully supports our army, which is carrying out its sacred duty to liberate our lands from occupation.

We call on the Azerbaijani government not to hesitate to completely rid our lands of occupiers and to resolutely resist the occupying Armenia and its patrons.

*The"Karabakh tribune" was established by a group of experts in December 2019. The group aims to develop a common strategy for Azerbaijan on the Karabakh issue based on the views of political parties, public organizations and figures.

Members of the "Karabakh tribune" are convinced that the conflict can be resolved exclusively within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.-0—
