Master’s department is organized in the Academy of Sciences
In the structure of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has been established Master’s department. The resolution on it was taken at a meeting of the Presidium of ANAS on Wednesday. The head of the Office of Science and Education, Aminaga Sadigov noted that since 2015, ANAS doctorate entrance exams and exams on the training program for doctors of philosophy are held by testing method, increased requirements for the doctoral level knowledge of foreign languages.
For the first time, the training for the master's degree has been organized in ANAS. For 2015-2016 the first academic year , 19 people were admitted for the Masters degree, for the 2016/2017 second academic year - 56 people.
The meeting adopted a resolution on the establishment of the Office of Science and Education Division of the Presidium of ANAS graduate. Its head is appointed deputy head of the Research and Analysis Department of Management, PhD in engineering, Huseyn Huseynov. -02D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
