The transfer of mine maps to Azerbaijan, flooding of houses in the village of Mashtaga, the likelihood of introducing an SMS system, and punishment against Lieutenant General Rovshan Akperov are the topics of today's media.
The website Yenisabah.az analyzes the meeting of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ann Linden with President Ilham Aliyev. The Karabakh conflict no longer exists, therefore, aspects of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the OSCE should be revised.
The OSCE can prevent the sending of armed persons from Armenia to Azerbaijan; secondly, the Armenians arrested after November 10, 2020 are not prisoners, but persons who committed provocative actions. And they will not be returned and will be brought to justice. In addition, Armenia must hand over mine maps to Baku. Without this, the issue of "prisoners" will not be discussed.
The website Müsavat.com writes about the problems in the village of Mashtaga, where the courtyards and basements of houses are flooded with water. The reasons for this are not clear. Residents are forced to pump out water manually or by connecting pumps.
Residents assume that this is groundwater, the level of which has risen due to the existing reservoir in the village.
This has already happened several times in 1990 and 2021, when an emergency situation occurred in the reservoir. Then, too, the basements of houses were flooded with water.
The Sfera.az website discusses the possibility of introducing a system of SMS permission to leave the house. This is possible due to a sharp increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus.
Professor Adil Geybulla thinks this is wrong. Since the beginning of January, 450,000 people have been vaccinated. According to the professor, those who have been vaccinated are no longer at risk. They are unlikely to be infected. SMS permissions should only apply to those who have not been vaccinated.
The website Redaktor.az writes that Lieutenant General Rovshan Akperov is facing either life sentence or imprisonment for 20 years, lawyer Roman Garashov said.
In case of proof of guilt, the court will send to the relevant authorities a submission to deprive Akperov of all awards.

By that night, however, the mysterious visitor had departed, loaded onto a cargo platform and whisked away to the airport.
