Ministry of the Defense production increased by 1.8 times
Last year 86% of total products in the institutions of the Ministry of Defense Industry (MDI) was for military and special purpose, said at today's board of the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan dedicated to the results of 2016. Compared with 2015, the volume of defense products increased by 1.8 times. Customers were supplied with UAVs, mortars, AK-74M, universal machine guns, sniper rifles, armored personnel carriers, such as "Matador" and "Marauder" automatic grenade launcher, sights for air defense systems, cartridges of various calibers, a grenade for portable anti-tank grenade launcher, training bombs and so forth.
The industry, after 53 stages of developmental works created 4 types of products and recommend them for service. At the exhibition of defense products in Baku in 2016 has been presented 260 items of products. Within the frameworks of the exhibition with the Ministry of Defense was signed a memorandum on the production and transfer of arms to the UAV-type national army Kamikaze "Blow." -05D06-
