Minsk decided to extradite Lapshin to Azerbaijan
Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus has decided to extradite to Azerbaijan the blogger Alexander Lapshin, citizen of Israel and Russia. Relevant decree issued deputy public prosecutor A. Stuk on January 17, but it became known only three days later.
Catherine, Lapshin’s girlfriend wrote on social network , that a notice of the impending extradition was sent to the Israeli consulate in the evening on January 18. According to her, the Prosecutor General's appeal against the decision is possible within 10 days. Lapshin was detained in Minsk on December 15, by the international wanted list at the request of Azerbaijan.
Baku demands his extradition, because the blogger visited Nagorno-Karabakh, campaigned in favor of the separatists, and called on the international community to recognize the independence of " the Nagorno Karabakh Republic". In addition, Lapshin illegally entered Azerbaijan on a false passport Ukrainian. So far, while the question on his extradition is being solved , Lapshin is kept in the Minsk jail. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died.
