Nasibov went to Turkey for treatment
Seriously injured as a result of the brutal attack, the Nakhchivan activist Ilgar Nasibov left on Saturday for medical treatment in Turkey.
At about 15:00 Nasibov and Malahat Nasibova crossed the Nakhchivan-Turkey border, where they were expected by ambulance. They went to the Turkish city of Van, where in one of the clinics Nasibov will be treated.
When leaving the NAR, the couple did not encounter any problems.
Recall that I. Nasibov was brutally beaten in the evening on August 21 at the Resource Center for NGO Development and Democracy.
Local and international democratic community was outraged by this cruel act, describing it as revenge by the authorities for exposing violations of human rights in Nakhchivan.
However, the police claimed that the incident took place on a domestic ground, and did not even open a criminal case. -06D-
