New Mass Poisoning of Cotton Growers (UPDATED)
Baku / 06/19/18 / Turan: The human rights defender Oktay Gyulaliyev reported on his Facebook page on June 19 about more than 150 injured residents of the Imishli region of Azerbaijan, poisoned in cotton fields. Due to lack of places in the Imishli district hospital, several patients have been provided medical care in the hospital's courtyard.
"There is a shortage of doctors, and all medical workers of Imishli have been mobilized to the district's Central Hospital. About 10 of those injured are in a particularly serious condition and they have been placed in the intensive care unit," Gulaliyev said. --0--

New Mass Poisoning of Cotton Growers
Baku / 06/19/18 / Turan: Today in the Imishli region another fact of mass poisoning of workers in a cotton field has been fixed. This information was confirmed to Turan by the district prosecutor's office.
According to the source, cotton growers are massively delivered to the district hospital with a diagnosis of poisoning. Their number is being specified.
However, the press service of the Ministry of Health said that appeals to the Imishli hospital are associated with complaints of mild headaches and nausea. The patients are taken urine and blood tests, which will be sent to laboratory studies in Baku. The exact causes can be announced on the basis of the analysis.
It should be noted that two days ago, on June 17, 14 people working on a cotton field in the Terter region applied to hospital and complained about poisoning. Before that, 21 people were poisoned in a cotton field in Saatly.
The authorities did not explain the cause of these poisonings. -03D06-
