Baku / 19.05.18 / Turan: An activist of the Lankaran branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Aflatun Safarov has been arrested in the administrative order.
He was detained by the local police on May 18. On Saturday, the Lankaran District Court sentenced him to 30 days of arrest, finding him guilty of committing an offense under Article 535.1 (not subjection to legal demands of a police representative) of the Administrative Offenses Code.
This is stated in the PFPA message. The party believes the real reason for the arrest is critical Facebook publications by Safarov.
Law enforcement agencies have not spread any information about the arrest of the opposition activist. -06D--

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
