President of SOCAR: Idrak Abbasov defended the interests of consultant in Sulutepe
The President of the State Oil Company Rovnag Abdullayev denied accusations that the security officers of his company beat journalist Idrak Abbasov. "In Sulutepe Idrak Abbasov acted not as a journalist, and protected realtors, who are involved in illegal land sale," said Abdullayev. Asking the question how it could be: Abbasov was in the journalist vest and there are dozens of witnesses of brutal attack on him, but the head of the company said that it is a lie. "They put a vest on him when he provoked the employees and threw stones on them. I have evidence of this. Generally Idrak Abbas and his brother are engaged in illegal land transactions with land in Sulutapa," said Abdullayev.
He justified the actions of workers to demolish illegal housing, arguing that the finished houses are not demolished; "only the construction of uncompleted houses is prevented."
Answering the question why no one was punished for beating Idrak Abbasov, Abdullayev stated that they did nothing illegal, just "slightly exceeded their powers." -02D-
