Evaluation of the strategic roadmap in connection with the economic development of the country, placing villagers in Cocuk Mercanli, and the minimum wage are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan published an article entitled Fundamental Development Program, which assesses the sustainable development concept. The author speaks of sectors of the strategic roadmap, saying the document will cover a long period of development.
The website Azadliq.info discusses the government policy on the return of refugees to the village Cocuk Mercanli freed from Armenian occupation during the April fighting.
The author believes that the question raised now is no accident, as on the background of the crisis it is necessary to raise the image of the authorities. In addition, the return of internally displaced persons to this village is not safe because of the proximity of the frontline.
Echo published an article entitled Monstrous Consequences for Azerbaijan at High Minimum Wage. In Azerbaijan, a lot of people who have an income equal to the minimum wage, which is a little more than AZN 100.
Nevertheless, one cannot immediately and strongly raise the minimum wages, as inflation will not take long. The government has an opportunity to raise the bar on the minimum wage, but it will lead to higher inflation and instantly increase prices of goods and services.
Money supply growth automatically means the fall of purchasing power. Inflation will literally eat a high minimum wage, and the Central Bank will not be able to take protective measures.
The government understands this and, therefore, it raises the minimum wage gradually.
