Ensuring freedom of the media, a complication of the economic situation, the increase in suicides, and corruption and bribery are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about the appreciation of the freedom of media in Azerbaijan by foreign media. The development of independent media is one of the priorities of the government.
The article comments on the V World Congress of News Agencies and XXII Information Council of State Agencies of the CIS Countries held in Baku. In Azerbaijan, according to official figures, there are more than 40 daily and more than 20 weekly and monthly newspapers, as well as 10 national, one satellite and 17 cable TV channels, and more than 75% of the population uses the Internet.
