Protest by parents of servicemen killed under unspecified circumstances
Baku/19.05.22/Turan: Parents of soldiers killed in unclear circumstances tried today to hold a protest in front of the Presidential Administration. They demanded to give their sons the status of martyrs.
"We have repeatedly been to receptions at the Presidential Administration and deputies. They feed us with promises; however, no results have been achieved. They only tell us that your children died in the military under unclear circumstances and therefore cannot have the status of martyr," said one protester.
Police and Special Protection Service agents demanded that reporters Fatima Movlamly and Sevindj Sadygova delete the footage of the rally which they shot on their phones. After a while, the reporters were released and the protesters were invited to the Presidential Administration.
