Rasul Guliyev complains of lawlessness in court
A resident of the Absheron district, Rasul Guliyev, complained about the lawlessness and arbitrariness of the judicial system.
At a press conference at the Media Centre on Thursday he told how on October 3 last year, his son Ramin was hit by a car near the village Sulutepe (35 km from Baku).
The driver fled the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital by the witnesses. The victim had both legs broken and he was hospitalized for a month.
Investigation of the case is under the investigation division of the Traffic Police of the country. The father of the victim accused the investigator Rashad Ismailov of wrongful investigation in order to shield the driver.
In particular, Ismailov recorded the traumas of the victim as light, although it was obvious that they were hard. The investigator did not regard the fact that the perpetrator left the helpless victim and fled the scene.
At the same time, the forensic examination of Nasimi district evaluated the injury of the victim as hard.
On December 28, the case was heard in the court of the Absheron district, where the defendant Sarhang Agayev accused the victim of extortion of 3,500 manats. However, Rasul Guliyev called the allegations "slander."
"After the accident, we saw this man for the first time in court," said the father of the victim. When Rasul Guliyev began to refute the charges of extortion, the judge drove him out of the hall, and then did the same with the witnesses.
Then the victim was invited into the hall, but his mother was not allowed.
The next hearing will be held on January 16. -05C-
