Relative of Ali Kerimli is threaten with death
In the evening on August 12 Elnur Seyidov , detained in jail N13, called his wife, and briefly said that he was threatened with murder. The conversation lasted a few seconds, and Elnur could say only it. Seyidov is a close relative of Ali Kerimli, the leader of the Popular Front Party, and the relatives believe that this is a true reason for his arrest. Seyidov’s relatives are convinced that the cause of threats is active support for Kerimli’s political activity, and in particular, the preparation of the National Council of Democratic Forces to oppose the adoption of the reactionary amendments to the Constitution in a referendum on 26 September.
Elnur Seyidov was arrested in 2012, and sentenced to 7.5 years on charges of embezzlement in "TechnikaBank". In turn, the head of the press service of the Penitentiary Service Mehman Sadigov told the newspaper "Azadlig", that the head of jail N13, assures that Elnur Seyidov is not in danger. However, the prison administration did not allow the lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev to visit his client. -02В-
