Relatives of a man criticising the authorities arrested for 30 days
Baku/19.02.18/Turan: Ordukhan Teymurkhan, a political immigrant living in again is being persecuted by the authorities. The authorities decided to punish his relatives, not being able to punish the blogger who is sharply criticizing them in social networks. So, on the eve of his arrest two of his nephews residing in Baku, Sabuhi Zeynalov and Tural Aliyev, were informed by their attorney Elchin Sadygov. According to him, both young men were accused of disobeying the police and arrested by the Narimanov court. Decisions were made on February 19 by judges Samir Mammadov and Rashad Abdulov on the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the lawyer, another nephew of the blogger, Elnar Aliyev, whose whereabouts is unknown, disappeared. The authorities do not admit that they detained him. The police do not give an answer to the lawyer's requests.
Another wave of repression against relatives of Ordukhan Teymurkhan began on February 17, when the families of his three sisters were taken to the police.
In February last year, police immediately arrested 12 relatives of Ordukhan, including young children. They were told that if the blogger did not stop cursing the authorities of Azerbaijan, they will be punished. -05B-
