Ships in Caspian Sea warned of expected storm
Baku/07.02.23/Turan: The "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company" has sent a warning to all its ships in the Caspian Sea due to the expected stormy weather.
In the message the ships are urged to take safety measures and plan departure to shelters in advance with due regard for the expected weather conditions. Captains of the ships have been instructed to provide safe anchorage in the ports during the storm days.
Earlier, forecasters of the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan predict storm winds up to 25-28mc in the Caspian Sea from noon on February 7 to noon on February 10. On the afternoon of February 8-9 the wind speed is expected to reach 30-35mc. Waves will be 3 to 5m and at times 6 to 8m high. -05D-

Azerbaijan's National Hydrometeorology Service has released the weather forecast for January 1, predicting predominantly dry conditions across the country. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the day will be marked by partly cloudy skies, with occasional overcast periods but no expected rainfall. A southwesterly wind in the morning will shift to a moderate northwesterly breeze in the afternoon.
