Storm wind and downpours caused damage in three regions of the country
Baku /18.06.18/Turan: A strong gusty wind and showers with a thunderstorm in the evening of June 17 caused damage to residential and economic buildings in Ismayilli, Kurdamir and Aksuinsky districts of the country, local sources reported. According to local authorities, in the Ismayilli region, heavy wind blew up the roofs of a number of apartment buildings, outbuildings, knocked down trees.
The mudflows left 66 mountain villages without electricity; and water supply to 20 villages was disrupted. The element caused serious damage to the grain fields of the district.
In the Kurdamir region, 30 houses were damaged, and the roofs was demolished. In several settlements, the supply of electricity has ceased, trees have fallen down.
In the region of Agsu, 70 residential houses remained without roof. The fruit gardens of the region have suffered severely. The authorities are taking measures to eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
Storm rains also created problems in the Gabala and Zagatala regions.
The Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry for Emergency Situations has not yet commented on the consequences of the disaster. -02D-
