Supreme Court to Consider Complaint against Son of Head of Nasimi District
The Azerbaijani Supreme Court, chaired by Imran Hajigaibov 24 May at 15.00 will take consideration of the cassation appeal of the executive director of the company McDonalds Azerbaijan Magsud Mirzoyev.
The complaint is related to the criminal case in connection with the death of his son 16-year-old Senan Mirzoyev in a car accident on September 27, 2014.
May 12, 2015 the Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced the driver of the car Mercedes Ilham Askerli, the son of the head of the Executive Power of the Nasimi district, to 5.6 years in prison. However, June 29 Baku Court of Appeal commuted Askerli’s punishment, reducing the sentence to 3 years of imprisonment.
November 12, 2015 Sabunchu District Court freed Askerli from punishment in connection with his illness.
Magsud Mirzoev, as the injured party, filed a complaint to the Supreme Court. -06D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
