Taleh Bagirzade continues his hunger strike
Baku/06.12.22/Turan: The imprisoned leader of the Muslim Unity Movement (MMU) Taleh Bagirzade continues his hunger strike for the 11th day, his wife Leyla Ismailzade told Turan.
According to her, Taleh is protesting against insulting him in jail N 12, where he was transferred from the Gobustan prison. Therefore, Bagirzade demands to be transferred to another prison. Until his demand was met, he also refused phone calls and meetings with lawyers.
The last time lawyer Fahraddin Mehdiyev visited Bagirzade was on December 3, when the MUM leader looked ill, the lawyer said.
It was not possible to get a comment from the Prison Service.
* In 2015, Bagirzade was arrested during a special operation in Nardaran and sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges of terrorism, attempting to change the constitutional order, creating an illegal armed group, etc. He was recognized as a political prisoner.-03B06-
