The action in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tbilisi
On Wednesday, in front of Azerbaijani Embassy in Tbilisi and Batumi was held a protest against the arrest of the journalist Khadija Ismayilova. According to the Radio "Azadlig", the protesters held posters in Georgian and English, and the Azerbaijani journalist’s photo. "The government of Azerbaijan, respect the rights of citizens!", "Freedom is more important than gas!" "Freedom to Khadija Ismailova!" read theplacards.The rallies were held without incident.
Khadija Ismayilova was arrested on 5 December for two months, she is accused of incitement to suicide. -16D04-

On September 16, the Central Election Commission (CEC) submitted the protocols of the extraordinary parliamentary elections to the Constitutional Court. Although there were many complaints regarding the election process, the CEC did not affect the results in any constituency but annulled the results in more than 40 polling stations overall. The commission declared that the elections were conducted at a high level. However, several opposition forces stated that the elections were conducted based on pre-prepared lists.
