The activist declares the inaction of the police
Baku / 20.09.18 / Turan: Human rights defender Elchin Mammad said that the police do not give him any information about the results of the investigation of the pogrom committed in February this year in the office of the NGO Legal Education of Sumgayit Youth and the newspaper Yukselishn Namine. Attackers, breaking the lock, staged a pogrom in the room, stole equipment. "The investigation is conducted in the 3rd branch of the Sumgait city police. Despite such a long time after the incident, I am not given any information about the results," Turan was told by Mammadov. He believes that the attack on the office is connected with his NGO's critical statement about the extraordinary presidential elections on April 11 this year. Turan failed to receive comments in the Sumgait police. -06D--
