The court will ask from ITV the video in the case of Amiraslanov
On Wednesday the Shirvan Court of Appeal considered the appeal of the activist of “Kura” civil society Ilham Amiraslanov, who was sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
On September 13 this year, the court of Sabirabad region sentenced Amiraslanov on charges of illegal possession of weapons (Article 221.1 of the Criminal Code), although at trial he and the witnesses testified that the gun was planted to him, and he was forced to make confession under torture. Doctors have also confirmed that Amiraslanov’s two ribs were broken and his eardrum was damaged.
Today’s trial chaired by judge Ahmed Nurmammedov were attended by the observers from the OSCE, NGOs and political parties.
The judge granted a defense motion for the attachment to investigation records the video of the arrest and search in the house of Amiraslanov shown by the Public TV (ITV) immediately after his arrest. The motion for the admission of amateur video taken during a search in Amiraslanov’shouse was also granted. The court also decided to hear at the next meeting ( on December 12)

Majidov, who was given a higher rank, actively participated in the fabrication of the case and violence against Amiraslanov.—0—
