The festive prayer on the occasion of Gurban Bayram will be on September 12
Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) issued a recommendation on the occasion of the Gurban Bayram. The festive appeal noted that the sacrifice of animals is necessary for the people making a hajj. Sacrifice by wealthy is a charitable act, as well as the distribution of sacrificial meat to the poor is a noble cause.
The sacrificial animal must be healthy and well-fed, and of a certain age: goats and sheep must be year-old, bulls - more than two years, camels - five years. It has become tradition to sacrifice cattle several believers. Sacrificial meat should be divided into three parts: one – remains to the owner of the animal, and the second - is distributed to the poor, and the third - is distributed among relatives. Gurban Bayrami in Azerbaijan this year will be marked on the 12th September. On this day there will be a Festive namaz in mosques. It is recommended to carry out the slaughter of sacrificial animals in compliance with the veterinary and sanitary standards. It is not recommended to cut the animal in front of the children. -05C06-
