Baku / 27.09.18 / Turan: The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office issued a joint statement on the death of Elmir Ahundov, a resident of the Gazakh region. On September 26, a photo of the body of this young man with traces of violence was distributed in social networks, and it was alleged that he was tortured to death in the Gazakh district police department. This was confirmed by the sister of the deceased.
However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office claim that Ahundov's mother appealed to the district prosecutor's office on September 24 that her son was beaten by a Gazakh resident, Kerim Ahmedov. After that, Ahundov was given evidence and a forensic medical examination was carried out, and the examination revealed injuries as a result of beatings.
At the same time, Ahmedov turned to the police, saying that he was beaten by Ahundov. In this regard, on September 25 Ahundov was summoned to the police for testimony. However, in the police his health worsened, at 22:00 an "ambulance" was called, which brought him to the diagnostic center in a dead state.
In fact, a lawsuit was filed under the Article 124.1 (murder by non-cautiousness) and 221.3 (hooliganism committed with the use of weapons or the object used as a weapon), appropriate expertise was assigned. Ahmedov was detained as a suspect. -06D--
